How it started
As a stay-at-home mom, I spent years giving so much of myself to my family that I slowly lost sight of who I was outside of motherhood. I was craving a little time for myself, so I decided to create a simple moment of self-care with a “run-of-the-mill” bath bomb. What was meant to be relaxing turned into a hideous reaction, and for the first time in my life, I started wondering what was actually in the products I was using.
That one experience opened the door to a whole lot of questions. I was diagnosed with MS at 19, but until then, I had never really thought twice about the ingredients in my everyday products or the food I ate. I simply trusted that if something was on the shelf, it must be okay.
I started reading labels, learning about ingredients, and asking even more questions. The more I learned, the more I wanted to make better, more thoughtful choices for myself and my family. But the deeper I looked into “clean” products, the more I realized that the label didn’t always tell the whole story.
So, I decided to start making my own personal care products. One by one, I created things that filled a need in my own self-care and everyday life. Somewhere along the way, I began sharing those products with others, and that little passion grew into what is now Drift Simply Natural.
What started with a bath bomb and a desire for a little time to myself has grown into something I never expected. Today, I get to create thoughtfully made products that bring a little more simplicity, intention, and connection to nature into everyday life.
This journey has taught me that when you listen to your heart and follow what brings you peace, wonderful things can unfold. I’m so grateful to be able to share that journey with you.
